Baavet Wool Duvet
The wool for our completely natural wool duvets comes from British Sheep. On British farms we don’t “factory farm” sheep, they are farmed extensively. “Extensive farming” could be described as ‘free range’ farming. The sheep have the freedom to roam the fields and hills of the UK, grazing naturally. The busiest times on the farm are lambing in the spring and shearing in the summer. Sheep farming is practiced in the same traditional way as it has been for hundreds of years.
All Baavet wool products are breathable, moisture wicking, temperature regulating, dust mite resistant and naturally hypo-allergenic and with amazing thermal qualities thanks to the wonder of wool.
No nasty chemicals no nasty treatments and no man made allergies.
Made in Britain using British wool.
Your Baavet can be washed on a dedicated wool or delicate’s washing cycle. Your Baavet may also be dry-cleaned . Please note that if the water is too hot or the wash cycle is too aggressive then the wool may shrink.
Treat your Baavet with care and it will last you a lifetime.
You will be advised of an approximate delivery date at the point of order and this will vary depending on whether the item is in stock, to be ordered and if any special finishes or upholstery are required. When we contact you to arrange delivery of your furniture, we will ask these questions:
Are there any access issues? For example, road width, overhanging trees, cul-de-sacs (turning circle), driveways, tunnels, archways, gates, hedges (covering walls), security gates (codes) and parking restrictions.
Are there any restrictions inside your house? For example staircases, banisters, furniture in corridors, pictures or paintings on the walls. Is there space in the room for your new furniture?
Will you be there to supervise delivery? If not, is someone else clear about exactly where the furniture should be located?
We can provide a comprehensive delivery service to destinations worldwide. Please see the Customer Service section or ask in store for details.
Care For Your Mattress
Letting your mattress settle
When your mattress arrives remove all wrappings to allow the mattress to air. Your mattress may seem shorter than its base/divan. Once unpacked, the mattress will gradually return to full size. If you find that the mattress is settling unevenly, turn the mattress.
Turning the mattress
Mattresses may need to be turned occasionally, regularly, or not at all. For specific advice, please consult the booklet which comes with your mattress.
Your Vi-Spring mattress is hand-tufted. They ensure the upholstery remains in place, but are designed to ‘snap’ if put under any undue strain to avoid damage to the mattress. They can be easily replaced.
Cleaning your mattress
Do not use a vacuum cleaner. Use a soft brush to remove any fluff. In case of spillage, blot the liquid quickly with a dry absorbent cloth.
Moving your mattress
If you are moving house, wrap up the mattress well, give it good support and keep it flat. Never roll or fold your mattress.
